Residents in Sichuan, Hunan and otherprovinces generally like spicy food, while people in Jiangsu and Zhejiang prefersweets. However, because of different cooking methods, the taste of similarfoods may be different

第一句主干是“饮食多样”，因没有动词，需添加谓语“人们的饮食是多种多样的”，可用饮食作主语，也可用“人们有不同的饮食习惯”

② 北方人主要吃面食，南方人大多吃米饭。

第二句可增加连词“but”构成前后相反含义。该句在2015年6月真题中出现过相同句式结构及词组。

Northerners mainly eat noodles, while southerners mostly eat rice.

③ 在沿海地区，海鲜和淡水水产品在人们饮食中占有相当大的比例，而在其他地区人们的饮食中，肉类和奶制品更为常用。

第三句“沿海地区”需后置到句尾做状语，“海鲜和淡水水产品”为该句难词之一，海鲜和淡水水产品不能划等号，不可简译为其中之一处理。“占有相当大的比例”可简写为“人们主要吃海鲜和水产品”

In coastal areas, seafood and freshwater aquatic products account for aconsiderable proportion of people's diet, while in other areas, ’这里将“people’sdiets”译为插入语无法表示原文中“在其它地区人民的饮食中”的意思，建议此处处理为状语放在后面，修改为“meat and dairy products aremore commonly used in people’s diets”.

第四句可以把两句合并起来，用but连接;居民的修饰语建议后置到名词后翻译
